I am so lucky to live where I do. My town is a charming, quaint, westerny, er’ybody knows er’ybody kinda place and it’s a short drive to some of the most magnificent wildflowers the eye has ever seen. The wildflowers out here in Santa Margarita only bloom a few weeks out of every year and this year was especially unique as we experienced a “superbloom” meaning just that, it was SUPER. I got to shoot a few families and friends out there but perhaps the one that stood out was Kovena and Michael’s family. Such a sweet bond between them all and the boys had a blast rolling around in the lupines. They found me on IG, and drove all the way up from the Santa Barbara area, which was so special to me. If you haven’t ever made it out to Shell Creek Rd to experience the wildflowers, make it a point to do it next year! And who knows, if we have heavy rainfall again, perhaps another superbloom will take place! Enjoy.
Can’t think of a better way to start the new year than saying “I DO!” What a fabulous day it was. Sunny and warm here on the Cambria coast, Callie & Joe rang in their new year with love, surrounded by family and friends. I was so honored to be at this wedding, sharing in all the festivities and joy. Intimate gatherings are some of my favorites weddings. You really get to know your guests and your couple. Beautiful ceremony at the Cambria Pines Lodge followed by a quick Moonstone Beach couples photo session, and a cozy reception at Madelines Wine Bar in Cambria. Enjoy this peak into their perfect day!
I met Whitney and Dillon at Biddle Ranch in SLO for a short bit to photograph them in the vineyards before we moved out to the bluffs in Cayucos to have a fun little adventure on the beach together. I loved how relaxed they became in each other’s arms and how easy they were together. Lots of smiles—my favorite kind of engagement session :) I’m looking forward to seeing them on their wedding day at the Grace Marilyn Estate next August!
